Seen this before? The model in front of you is the plaster model for the renowned marble sculptured group ā you can see the real one in Piazza della Signoria, sheltered under the Loggia dei Lanzi. Considered to be one of the most beautiful statues in modern art, three bodies melting into one, forming a circular spiral movement that seems to have no beginning nor end. Created in 1582, Giambologna named it after the roman-history event. Itās such a mesmerising piece, isnāt it?

The self-guided audio tour is designed to start at the entrance of the Accademia Gallery (Via Ricasoli, 58/60 50122 Florence, Italy). The easiest way to get there is to stop at the Battisti San Marco bus station and walk to your left along the Via Ricasoli till you reach the entrance of the Accademia Gallery.

- Free and reduced admission tickets do not have to skip the line privileges and can only be acquired at the ticket booth on-site.
- Each of the halls and the galleries of the Accademia Gallery are wheelchair accessible.
- Entrance to the Accademia Gallery is free for all visitors under 18 years old and visitors with certified disability.
