Plaster model

Seen this before? The model in front of you is the plaster model for the renowned marble sculptured group ā€“ you can see the real one in Piazza della Signoria, sheltered under the Loggia dei Lanzi. Considered to be one of the most beautiful statues in modern art, three bodies melting into one, forming a circular spiral movement that seems to have no beginning nor end. Created in 1582, Giambologna named it after the roman-history event. Itā€™s such a mesmerising piece, isnā€™t it?
