Amfilochia
Amfilochia is a town and municipality in Greece’s Aetolia-Acarnania region, on the location of ancient Amfilochia. Karvasaras was the name given to it by the Ottoman Empire. According to Pausanias, it is named after King Amphilochos, son of Amphiaraus. Amphilochos settled in the area after the fall of Troy and was also known as Amphilochoi until the period of Pausanias.
