Brickwork magic
Check out this wonder of a tower – in all its 167.5 square metre glory! Built on a square plan, this obelisk-like building has a huge lower section. On top rises a high quadrangular dome surmounted by a two-tier temple – working as a support to its slender spire. But how do you think it got its name? Well, it was named after its architect, Alessandro Antonelli. And right up until 1908, the Mole was the highest brickwork building in the world.
