New York has been captivating travelers forever and we are no exception. Therefore, we decided to explore the multicultural pot the way we know best: with a self-guided audio tour. Designing a walking route for this bustling city wasn’t easy. There are simply, too many things to see and few that can be left out. However, we decided to highlight the most popular spots. This isn’t the first Clio Muse self-guided tour in Amsterdam but each time we’re diving into this city we’re equally fascinated. This time we are examining the city’s history as it is revealed through its architectural elements. The self-guided tour kicks off from the Central Station with its neo-gothic and Renaissance architectural elements. We paved its street with our partner, historian and Seville tour guide Juan Alberto Romero and marked a path of 10 stops. Munich: ISAR ATHEN

On the occasion of the 200 years of the beginning of the Greek War of Independence, the Consulate General of Greece in Munich designed the digital tour “Isar Athen.” Its aim is to showcase the city’s monuments and landmarks that are designed based on ancient Greek architecture with neoclassical elements due to the King’s philhellenism. Through 10 stops and 30 stories, this self-guided tour explains how the Munich of the 19th century transforms to Athens of Isar. This digital tour was created under the auspices of the “Greece 2021” Committee.

The Dutch Philellenic Movement: Rise and Fall

This may not be a purely walking tour but its stops include the Benaki Museum in Athens, the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and other noteworthy places. Through this digital tour, we travel back to the era of the not widely known, yet significant, 19th-century Dutch philhellenic movement and its paramount role in the 1821 Greek Revolution, exploring the tumultuous years from the rise of the movement till its fall in 1829. “The Dutch Philellenic Movement: The Rise and Fall” tour was created under the auspices of the “Greece 2021” Committee on behalf of the Royal Embassy of the Netherlands in Greece.
