Travel is said to enhance cultural awareness, world, and also self-understanding.
Fotis Kondylis, Junior Software Engineer, seems to agree with this view, as apparent in our travel #smalltalk.
When and where accomplished your last travel?
The last time I traveled was in Italy, specifically to Rome and to Firenze. This was back in March of 2019 before Covid.
How do you describe yourself as a traveler?
As a traveler, I like to walk all day in the cities I visit and discover new places and hidden spots. I also enjoy visiting multiple museums and monuments and learning about the local history and culture. Last but not least, I am a food traveler, and I want to try the local cuisine and discover new flavors.
What are your 2022 travel goals?
This year I have already decided to go to Edinburgh with my friends. Specifically, we intend to go in August as several festivals are held then. We also wish to visit the Scottish Highlands because summer is perfect for road trips there. This summer, I also want to go some days to a greek island for some vacations to enjoy the sun, the sea, and the beach parties.
Which is your favorite Clio Muse Tour?
My favorite Clio Muse Tour is The Treasures of the Vatican Museums. Ι think this tour was worthwhile and full of news and stories about the most important of these exhibits and helped me enjoy my visit and experience even more. The Vatican is huge with plenty of things to see, and it usually takes lots of hours to visit everything, not necessarily digest its charm. The Clio Muse Tour allowed me to discover it at my own pace, without feeling the rush of jumping from artwork to artwork without really appreciating it.
