Three summer takeaways on Greek Travel Pages

Summer 2022 was amazing.
We smashed our traveler’s record, welcomed new team members, updated our portfolio with fresh tours and destinations, and gained some great insights toward sustainable growth.
Thank you, Greek Travel Pages, for featuring our key takeaways.

Greece is in the spotlight.

From June until the end of August, 56,000 travelers explored Greece at their pace with one or more Clio Muse self-guided audio tours and skip-the-line tickets. Almost 35,000 visited Acropolis Hill, and approximately 18,000 travelers enjoyed fast-track entrance to the Acropolis Museum with a self-guided audio tour on their headphones.

Solo travel is growing.

Almost 8,000 Clio Muse Tours summer travelers chose to travel alone, affirming that solo travel is more than just a buzzword, but a new way of exploring the world. Solo travelers seek to do it at their own pace, so self-guided audio tours seem ideal companions. With Clio Muse Tours offers, they can also have this experience offline on their devices and get a deeper dive into the compelling stories that lie undiscovered in every place they feel like.

Visitors are looking for unique experiences.

Self-guided audio tours, enriched with skip-the-line tickets, attract more and more wanderers who opt for self-guided and personalized travel experiences. Having focused for the last years on this product, Clio Muse Tours has identified a huge potential and a growing audience segment.

To talk numbers, after the (normal, due to travel restrictions) 89 percent yearly decrease in summer 2020, Clio Muse travelers increased by 732 percent (summer 2020) and by 319 percent (summer 2022). Visitors no longer compromise with conventional and standardized tours and seek unique, authentic experiences and a way to connect with the local culture, history, and people.
