Directions

The nearest metro & urban railway station to the Ancient Agora is Monastiraki, a mere 5-minute walk away from the archaeological site. Just walk all the way down Ifaistou street, the pedestrian zone which begins below the “Athens Flea Market” sign and at the end of the street turn left on Agiou Philippou. Then turn left again on Adrianou and after a few meters, you will find the entrance to the site on your right, at 24, Adrianou street. Once you have presented your ticket at the entrance, you may pick a spot near the sign overlooking the site to listen to the first set of stories.

Leonidas Argyros

A grumpy man with a PhD. He is fascinated by words; when he sees them forming beautiful sentences he feels like an apprentice wizard who just produced fancy potions out of cauldrons full of frog legs and tears of bats. In his spare time he roams about town or watches anything produced and narrated by Sir David Attenborough, an inexhaustible source of similes. In Canada, he learned to love the cold, but he is much happier working in Athens.
