Hello and welcome to our tour through the history of the Jewish community in Halberstadt. We will take you to the different places where the community was active. Throughout the tour you will learn about the history of Jewish life in Halberstadt as well as about different people and institutions.Please be aware, that the Jewish cemeteries on this tour are locked. Keys can be borrowed for a deposit of 20 EUR at the reception of the Moses Mendelssohn Academy (Rosenwinkel 18). This will be the stop on this tour called “The Klaus”. The cemeteries are closed on Shabbat and Jewish holidays. On Fridays, visits are only possible until 12:00 noon. Male visitors need a head covering to visit. Kippot can be purchased.
